By car approximately 5 hours from Sydney or Brisbane and 1 and a quarter hours from Coffs Harbour or Port Macquarie. Hat Head offers a beautiful white sandy beach with tidal creek inlet, fantastic coastal walks through the National park to other secluded beaches, a Bowling Club with greens and restaurant, in a quiet seaside village. Nearby at South West Rocks is Arakoon State Recreation Area with the historic Trial Bay Gaol.
