NSW Country Surf Life Saving Championships

The NSW Country Surf Life Saving Championships is the fourth largest event of its type in the world, and the largest surf carnival outside of the Australian and NSW and QLD state titles. 
At South West Rocks, over 2000 competitors and countless officials, coaches, families and spectators will converge on beautiful South West Rocks beach to see the best competitors in Country NSW compete to be named NSW Country Champions.

Horseshoe Bay Markets - South West Rocks

Date: Held 2nd Saturday of the month 
Venue: South West Rocks Reserve - Horseshoe Bay, South West Rocks
Markets are held from 8:00am to 12:00 noon. Come along and enjoy the day, beachside at these popular markets filled with an exciting variety of stalls.

South West Rocks Artisan Markets

Held quarterly - March, July, Sept, Nov in the South West Rocks Country Club Auditorium. 
This market will bring together a diverse mix of hand-picked independent artists and designers in all forms of mediums who wish to display and sell their wares. The vision is to create a meeting place where both high end artists/designers plus the surrounding community can support and benefit each other as well as bring visitors to our local community.

South West Rocks Seabreeze Hotel Pro-Am Fishing Club

Date: Held 1st Sunday of month
Venue: Seabreeze Hotel. Livingstone St, South West Rocks.

Fishing competition commencing at 12:01am Saturday .Weigh in is held in the beer garden at the hotel from 11:00am to 1:00pm on Sunday and a barbecue lunch is provided at a small cost.  Entry forms available at the Seabreeze Hotel or Marine Bait and Tackle.

Adelaide Swift Art Initiative

Encouraging Artists to pursue their passion. Held Bi-annually (even numbered years) in September/October.
The Adelaide Swift Art Initiative is funding from the estate of a former resident of South West Rocks. It was her gift to the community to encourage visual artists to broaden their learning's in the art arena.

Sculpture in the Gaol - Trial Bay Gaol, Arakoon

Whale Watching on the Macleay Valley Coastline

Date: Sept to Nov every year.
Whale watching can be done from any high point on the coast. Watching begins, as the majestic humpbacks make their way back south. The South West Rocks & Arakoon Coastline offers amazing view points to watch the whales migrating back south and playing with their new calves.

Kundabung Rodeo - Kundabung

Date: October Long Weekend
Venue: Kundabung Rodeo Grounds - 10km south of Kempsey or 30km north of ort Macquarie

Kundabung Rodeo highlights will include bull riding events featuring some of Australia's best cowboys. This is a truly great day out for the whole family, so come along and enjoy the fun and entertainment. More details will be posted, when they become available, but mark this event on your calendar as one, not to be missed.

Annual Trial Bay Triathlon - South West Rocks

Date: 3rd Saturday and Sunday of February
Venue: Trial Bay Gaol - Event Starts

A two day event featuring competition for both juniors and seniors. The 22nd Annual triathlon will start at the Trial Bay Gaol and consists of a 500m swim and a 26km bicycle ride and 6km run around picturesque Trial Bay.

Annual Nestle Junior Triathlon

Date: 3rd Saturday and Sunday of February
Venue: Trial Bay Gaol - Start
